Sai Baba of Shirdi, a pure embodiment of Shiva consciousness, was born in the mid-nineteenth century in India. Around the age of 16, this divine fakir migrated to Shirdi, the village he is named after and lived for the remainder of his life.

The Shirdi Sai Avatar exemplified the unity between religions, asceticism and austerity, and complete communion with God. Shirdi Sai Baba took maha-samadhi on October 15^th, 1918 and is worshipped by many around the world as a saint, inspiration, and divine teacher.

Swami Sai Premananda will be celebrating the auspicious occasion of Shirdi Sai Jayanti with the chanting of “Om Namah Shivaya” along with a Bilva leaf offering, a favourite of Lord Shiva’s, and bhajans.
