Guru Purnima is the sacred day when all spiritual aspirants pay homage to their Guru. As stated in the Guru Gita:

“The Guru’s form should be meditated upon; the feet of the Guru should be worshipped; His words are to be treated as a sacred Mantra; His Grace ensures final liberation.”

We invite you to an evening of celebration and contemplation of the Guru, all dedicated to our beloved Guruji, Swami Sai Premananda. All devotees will have the opportunity to perform Paduka Pooja (worship of the Guru’s lotus feet). On this most auspicious day of the year, devotees of the Guru may make any offerings to Him as they wish. To worship the Guru’s feet is the highest blessing, as the Guru’s shakti (Divine Energy) resides in His feet. Through this form of devotion, the energy flows from Guru to disciple, thus purifying the mind and uplifting your consciousness.
