The Gayatri Mantra is considered as the ultimate mantra and the essence of the Vedas, the Hindu scriptures which encompass all knowledge. In one powerful mantra, the Absolute is praised, meditated upon, and prayed to. Every level of existence is acknowledged as being the Divine as well as existing due to the Divine. When recited correctly and with devotion, higher intelligence is awakened and oneness with the Absolute, that beloved, all-sustaining force which exists as every part of creation, is attained.
